The Gavin Chronicles, November 22, 2007

"Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations."
Psalm 100

Happ Thanksgiving to all of our friends and family!

We hope this email finds you all well and enjoying time surrounded by family, friends and being thankful for the many blessings which God has bestowed upon you. We have much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving day.

Our prayers of asuccessful eye surgery for Gavin have been answered. The surgeon was happy toreport to us this morning that Gavin's eye surgery was 100% successful. TheR.O.P. is 100% gone and the plus disease is 100% gone. We could not be happier with this news. Gavin is weighing in now at 3lb 5oz and is growing daily. He is almost 3x his original birth weight. Now how many babies can say that at only 3 months old. It is hard to fathom that on Friday Gavin will be 3 months old. It seems like just yesterday we were blessed with the miracle of his birth and now today we stand in awe of God's grace in our lives and the continued miracle of his life. We are still awaiting the surgeon to come and take Gavin's broviac out. It failed early in the week and began leaking so it is no longer useful to them. Hopefully the surgeon will be by tomorrow to get that handled.

We have been further blessed with answered prayers this Thanksgiving day.Colin has received a job offer from Lockheed Martin for a position in theDenver Tech Center. He is awaiting the formal offer letter this week or early next week. This is a huge weight lifted off of our shoulders for him to be able to return to a stable work environment for an employer who values theiremployees. He will resume with his tenure where it was left when he switched over to PSI in September. This also means better health insurance for ourfamily. Right now.....as odd as it is to most of you....Health Insurance is number one for us. Tenative plans are for him to begin employment with Lockheed sometime in December.

The Lord has heard our prayers and once again has answered them for us. We are so thankful for all of our friends and family who have supported us the past few months.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support. We are so blessed to have each and every one of you in our lives. May this day find you surrounded by the love of family and friends.......
